Arts Midwest World Fest - March 12

Some of you may remember the fun night (after overcoming some cultural differences) when Beauty & Melody from China performed at SAWA with some local musicians. We are fortunate to have another group from the Arts Midwest World Fest coming to SAWA March 12. Mauvais Sort is a French Canadian Ensemble from Quebec. Accordion, violin, guitar, bass, mandolin, drums, percussion, feet and voice come together in energetic fashion in this group. It should be another fun night.

Glory Muse - March 13

Lori and Ben are coming back to SAWA. This very talented duo is great fun so we’re really looking forward to this.

Johnathan Moeller - March 27

Johnathan is making his debut at SAWA. He is an accomplished acoustic guitarist. We are excited to have him perform here.

Patchouli - April 9

Patchouli is making a return engagement to SAWA. They have been here twice before and played to a full house. Check out their website, and then come see them at SAWA.

Mysteries & Wine Gatherings

I love to read mysteries and I love to drink wine. I especially love to drink wine while I read mysteries. What I have discovered is there are many mystery writers who incorporate wine in the telling of their tales. We thought it would be fun to have a monthly “Mystery & Wine” gathering. We’d read a mystery, get together to discuss the book and sample some of the wine featured in the story. Our first get together will be Tuesday, March 23 at 4:30 and the book is *The Merlot Murders* by Ellen Crosby. It’s available at the library or you can order it at Cherry Street Books for $6.99 plus tax for the paperback and get it in 3 to 4 days. So all you guys and gals who like a good *who dunnit* put that date on your calendar.

Pacific Rim Dinner

Our next 5-course food and wine event is Monday, April 19. Chef Matthew Jensen is busy planning the menu and Sommelier Ryan Westrum is looking for just the right wines. We are already one-third full, so make your reservations now. The cost is $50 a person, serving starts at 6:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
